Assistant Manager – Production

Embark on a journey of change with MAS, by joining the Unichela (Private) Limited – Panadura Division, as Assistant Manager – Production To develop, implement, sustain and improve effective production strategies and procedures in order to ensure smooth operations thereby, meeting customer expectations whilst, achieving set objectives and key performance parameters
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations of the plant and ensure the agreed production quantities are delivered whilst conforming to the required quality standards in order to meet customer delivery dates and expectations
- Review plant performance, identify issues and take corrective actions in order to achieve following targets that will serve to meet the objectives set by the organization

· DIFOT
· Quality
· Customer Delivery
- Plan monthly delivery schedule by customer requirement (to achieve 100% DIFOT – delivery on time in full) in order to ensure a smooth flow of production
- Monitor & manage the sewing production process to ensure the production process is carried out as per delivery schedule and approved budget.
- Investigate /review by communicating with relevant departments any abnormalities in the production process using PDCA to eliminate the root cause in order to complete an entire style in a timely manner
- Ensure pre-preparation of details pertaining to style changeovers and analyse the styles that are to be planned and the feasibility of the same, so as to ascertain the achievement of the first 3 days efficiency ladder that is vital to achieve the planned overall efficiency and timely output for the given style
- Adhere to 6S, Health and Safety, Production & Social compliance procedures in order to eliminate waste, minimize cost and establish lean manufacturing concepts.
- Liaise with HR department to perform the following duties in order to ensure satisfaction of reporting employees through people management activities.
· Identify training needs of reporting employees and optimize their performance and capabilities.
·Develop positive employee relations through counseling
· Establish sound industrial relations within the production teams
· Engage with performance evaluation activities.
- Establishing and Implementing the ISO 9001:2015 ,ISO 13485:2016 and GMP standards requirements within the scope of the responsibilities assigned under job related processes
Qualifications, Experience, Skill and Competencies:
- A Degree in Engineering/Statistics/Mathematics
- Product oriented with an attention to detail
- 4 – 5 years of experience in a similar capacity
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with an innovative mindset
