Veterinary Support Officer

📍 Location: Fiji
📌 Reporting to: QA Manager

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Conduct routine examinations and clinical assessments of chickens at layer and broiler farms
✅ Perform post-mortem analysis and report corrective & preventative measures
✅ Monitor uniformity and investigate production drops or underweight chickens
✅ Oversee husbandry practices and vaccination program effectiveness
✅ Manage biosecurity standards and layer/broiler diet programs
✅ Provide medication support and advice
✅ Analyze batch files and recommend improvements
✅ Conduct root cause analysis for issues like dirty/cracked shells and defects in chicken development
✅ Support animal welfare and general health care initiatives
✅ Propose continuous improvement strategies

Key Competency Requirements:

🔹 Degree in Veterinary Science or related field
🔹 2-3 years of experience (preferred)
🔹 Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
🔹 Willingness to travel to remote sites as required
