About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our finance team at a leading FMCG manufacturing company. This role specializes in Sri Lankan tax compliance and offers the opportunity to work closely with the Inland Revenue Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all tax compliance (VAT, WHT, SVAT, PAYE, APIT, Stamp Duty)
- Liaise with the Inland Revenue Department on tax matters
- Prepare and submit accurate tax returns
- Handle tax audits and resolve disputes
- Provide tax advisory services to internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with changing tax regulations
Requirements:
- Professional Qualification:
- Part/Full qualification in Taxation/Accounting (CA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT)
- Experience:
- 5-7 years specialized tax experience
- Proven track record with IRD procedures
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Sri Lankan tax laws
- Experience with FMCG tax matters (advantage)
- Personal Attributes:
- Age: 30-40 years
- Resident near Kelaniya (preferred)
Salary Package:
- LKR 200,000 – 250,000 (Negotiable based on expertise)
