Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Service Manager for our client company located in Colombo 04 .

Job Responsibilities

  • Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them
  • Train, motivate, counsels and monitors the performance of all service department staff
  • Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the service department
  • Maintains reporting systems required by management and principals
  • Coordination with Principals relating to after sales division
  • Conducting regional wise pocket meetings for after sales dealers
  • Monitors and controls the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems and surveys
  • Develop and implement a marketing plan which promotes new and repeat business
  • Understands, keeps abreast of and compliances and local regulations that affect service operations
  • Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
  • Conduct technical training and send employees to appropriate training schools as needed
  • Monitors and follows up on parts orders with the parts team to ensure availability
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
  • Maintains high-quality service repairs and conducts periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality
  • Ensure that the work areas and customer waiting area are kept clean
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activities
  • Handles customer complaints immediately and according to dealership’s guidelines
  • Establishes and maintains 24-hour follow-up with all customers to confirm satisfaction with the service experience
  • Implement a CRM system to provide a better service for the customer

Requirements

  • Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 03 years and above experience as a service manager in automobile industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Having a very good knowledge of MS office applications
  • Exposure & experience working with ERP team & service-related system integrations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Require to have a valid driving and riding license
  • Preferably candidates reside in Colombo or near area for easy commute

Salary is negotiable and will commensurate with qualifications and experience to the right candidate.
