We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team on a 1-year contract. This role is essential in ensuring the delivery of top-notch software products and maintaining our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Automation: Develop and execute automated tests for API, UI, and mobile applications using tools like Selenium, Appium, and REST Assured.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and best practices to ensure high standards of software quality.
  • Test Planning: Create detailed test plans, including estimations, and generate quality reports to track and communicate testing progress and results.
  • Agile Collaboration: Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins to ensure continuous testing and deployment.
  • Database Testing: Utilize strong SQL query skills to perform database testing and ensure data integrity across various database technologies (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB).
  • Problem Solving: Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, providing clear and concise communication regarding quality assurance processes and results.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BSc. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Experience:
    • 4+ years of post-graduate industry experience in Quality Engineering.
    • Minimum 2 years of test automation experience in API, UI, or mobile testing.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in Selenium, Appium, REST Assured (Gauge framework is a plus).
    • Experience in Web, Mobile, and API automation.
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, JavaScript, C#, etc.).
    • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and integrating automated tests.
    • Strong knowledge of database technologies (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB) and SQL query skills.
    • Familiarity with test management tools and browser developer tools.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
