Senior Executive – Occupational Health & Safety

The Senior Executive — OH&S is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment by implementing and monitoring Occupational Health & Safety standards at the plant level. The role holder drives statutory compliance, conducts risk assessments, and promotes a strong safety culture to achieve zero harm and continuous improvement. They also serve as the focal point for all OH&S initiatives, ensuring alignment with customer standards and certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute OH&S policies, SOPs, and statutory requirements across the plant.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments regularly.
• Ensure compliance with certifications (ISO, OHSAS) and customer standards.
• Organize and lead safety committee meetings to drive engagement and accountability.
• Implement Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Operations) and external bodies (government, certification agencies).
• Liaise with contractors and customers to uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in relevant field along with Diploma or Certification in Industrial Safety.
• 4 to 5+ years of experience in the safety function, with understanding of functional statutory, compliance, certification and liaison requirements.
