Job Responsibilities

As Senior Executive – Legal, you will:

• Draft, negotiate, review, and advise on all forms of Commercial Agreements.
• Attend to conveyancing work involving various kinds of deeds.
• Handle trademark applications.
• Liaise with external legal service providers in relation to litigation matters.
• Provide legal advice to the Group as and when requested on legal issues and queries.
• Handle day-to-day administrative functions of the legal department.
• Perform additional duties commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be:

• An Attorney-at-law with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate law, including experience in a reputed commercial law firm.
• Capable of analyzing and thinking conceptually and independently.
• Experienced in drafting and reviewing all forms of legal documents/contracts.
• Possessing thorough knowledge of Contract and Company Law (essential); knowledge of International Trade Law and Shipping is an added advantage.
• Fluent in English and Sinhala (written and verbal).
• Able to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Possessing a positive outlook and be a good team player.
