Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Executive Compliance to oversee social, labour, environmental, and sustainability compliance at our Seeduwa facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that our operations adhere to local laws, factory ordinances, buyer codes of conduct, and other national and international legal instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify non-compliance issues through internal audits and daily factory visits, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with social, labour, environmental, health, and sustainability requirements.
- Train employees on safety matters, OHS, EMS, EIA, fire safety, chemical safety, and sustainability.
- Maintain and implement environmental, chemical, and sustainability standards such as HIGG INDEX, SLCP, and customer audits.
- Prepare and present clear and concise compliance reports to management regularly.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and reviewing company policies and regulations.
- Review and update legal documents, certificates, and licenses as required.
- Coordinate efforts related to audits, reviews, and examinations.
Key Requirements:
- BSc in Environmental Science, Facilities Management, or a related field, or a diploma with more than 2 years of experience in a similar capacity in the apparel industry.
- Age between 25-35 years.
- NDT/HND, Health and Safety course from NIOSH, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and drive a team.
- Candidates residing in or willing to relocate to the Seeduwa area are preferred.
