💼 Senior Executive – Finance (Payroll)

📝 Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll & GL: Ensure accuracy of payroll entries and update the general ledger in a timely manner.
  • Company Structure: Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure all company structure changes are accurately reflected in journal entries.
  • Reconciliations: Resolve payroll-related reconciliation discrepancies effectively.
  • Audits & Documentation: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary details and documentation on journal entries.
  • Valuation & Timelines: Liaise with HR and the gratuity valuation consultant to carry out periodic valuations, and maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee-related information at all times.
  • Director Fees: Prepare and process Director Fee payments accurately and on schedule.
  • Tax & Reporting: Submit AIR for director fees and ensure timely issuance of T10 certificates to directors.
  • Related Party Transactions (RPT): Prepare the RPT pack for the RPT Committee, ensuring all related transactions are properly documented.
  • Statutory Compliance: Follow up and collect directors’ declarations as required.
  • Budgeting & Annual Report: Assist in the preparation of the Annual Report and support the HR Department in cost preparation for the annual budget.
  • Ad-hoc Support: Prepare ad-hoc reports as required by management.

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Completion of G.C.E. Advanced Level examination.
  • Professional Qualification: Fully or partly qualified in a recognized accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
  • Experience: Prior exposure to payroll processing and account reconciliation procedures.
  • Taxation: Prior experience in taxation, especially employee-related taxes.
  • Regulations: Strong understanding of tax regulations applicable to employees.
  • Skills: High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
