We are a leading company in the food manufacturing industry, specializing in coconut and plant-based products. We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team in Kuliyapitiya and oversee our production operations.
Job Description:
As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring adherence to production schedules, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring adherence to production schedules.
- Address any quality concerns and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Coordinate with the supply chain, procurement, and R&D teams to ensure all raw materials (coconut products, additives, etc.) are available on time.
- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international food safety regulations, including hygiene standards, ISO certifications, and environmental guidelines.
- Oversee the maintenance of production equipment, ensuring proper functioning and minimizing downtime.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate production performance and implement corrective actions if needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role in the food manufacturing industry, preferably in coconut or similar plant-based products.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, food safety regulations, and quality control.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing production issues.
- Ability to adapt to changing production demands and a fast-paced work environment.
- Familiarity with sustainable practices in coconut farming and production is a plus.
- Proven track record of improving production processes and achieving production targets.
