Job Summary:

We are looking for an energetic, team-oriented, and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills to fill the role of Procurement Merchandiser. The ideal candidate will be proactive and capable of working independently to meet tight deadlines.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Arrange fabric and raw materials for samples.
• Place/customize greige orders as per instructions from the merchandising manager/customer and maintain up-to-date records of balances.
• Make email inquiries with suppliers and confirm delivery dates and prices where applicable.
• Obtain required information from relevant areas and create Bill of Materials (BOM).  
• Ensure a copy of the design cost sheet is in hand before placing any Purchase Orders (POs).
• Ensure the correct unit price on the purchase order matches the cost sheet and immediately notify the merchandising manager of any price deviations.
• Maintain the material delivery schedule and follow up on planned deliveries to meet the critical path.
• Organize letters of credit/telegraphic transfers with the Finance Department.
• Ensure orders are placed in accordance with the delivery flow/buyer POs.
• Monitor color standard issued dates and lab dip approval status and identify issues that may affect production plans.
• Ensure approved fabric headers/bulk approved standards are with the inspection team before bulk material arrives in stores.
• Ensure residual is captured and considered before raising Purchase Orders (POs).
• Act as the controlling party on residual management.
• Adhere to company principles of ethical sourcing. All raw materials should be purchased from customer-nominated/approved suppliers, with exceptions only for cross-developed and Director Supply Chain/Country Manager-approved alternative sources to support business needs.  

Qualifications and Experience:

• Passed GCE Advanced Level examination in any stream.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Good communication skills in English and the local language.
• ICT Literacy.
• Presentation skills.
• Initiative.
• Negotiation skills.
