Position: Pattern Technologist
Department: Product Development
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop patterns to meet customer requirements in design, quality, and costing.
- Coordinate with the Merchant to determine fabrics after receiving initial sketches or designs.
- Communicate necessary information to development, Merchant, or sample coordinating teams and document pattern concerns.
- Plan samples in alignment with sample room coordinators and schedule internal fittings weekly.
- Release patterns for pilot and bulk production.
- Collaborate with technical and sample cutting teams to resolve pattern issues.
- Ensure patterns align with design intent and follow processes upon receiving Tech packs.
- Verify pattern accuracy against samples and address any discrepancies.
- Incorporate customer fit comments and ensure precise grading of patterns.
- Conduct thorough sample checks against specifications and participate in fit sessions.
- Support costing, sampling, and ordering processes by providing accurate patterns and documentation promptly.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma in pattern making from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in swimwear or outerwear.
- Proficiency in using the Lectra System; experience in bra patterns is a significant advantage.
- Strong IT literacy and computer skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A proactive team player with a self-motivated attitude.
