About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced tax and regulatory reporting professional to join our team as a Manager / Senior Manager – Tax and Regulatory Reporting. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards while providing strategic tax advisory support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Reporting:
- Prepare quarterly and annual returns per IRCSL guidelines.
- Manage ad-hoc IRCSL information requests.
- Process month-end journal entries related to IRCSL charges.
- Provide a monthly market-consistent balance sheet to the actuarial department.
- Taxation:
- Ensure compliance with tax payments (WHT, Corporate Tax, Crop Levy, CESS, Stamp Duty, etc.).
- Review annual returns for direct and indirect taxes.
- Oversee tax-related balance sheet reconciliations.
- Obtain tax clearance for foreign payments.
- Coordinate with IRD on exchange rates for remittances.
- Monitor industry trends and take necessary actions.
- Provide tax advisory support to the business.
- Prepare tax-related notes for the annual report.
- Compile quarterly group tax templates.
Experience & Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized university.
- Full Qualification in CIMA, ACCA, or CA.
- Minimum of 6 years of work experience in Tax/Finance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
