🧑‍💻 Junior Information Security Analyst

This is a job advertisement for a Junior Information Security Analyst position at LankaPay (Pvt) Ltd., working with their financial sector computer security incident response team, FinCSIRT.

🔑 Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

The successful candidate will assist the management of baseline security standards for member companies. Key tasks include:

• Responding to information security incidents and sending alerts.
• Updating knowledge base and sending alerts to members.
• Conducting daily research on cyber vulnerabilities and new threats to the financial sector.
• Assisting research and development activities related to emerging areas of information security.
• Assisting in conducting Vulnerability Analysis and Penetration Testing.
• Conducting testing, deployment, and maintenance of FinCSIRT information security systems.
• Assisting in conducting security awareness training.
• Case backups of critical FinCSIRT systems.

🎓 Qualifications, Experience, and Personal Attributes

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in a recognized university in the field of Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Certifications (Preferred Add-Ons):
  • One or more information security related certifications such as CSX, CEH, etc.
  • Vendor certifications related to systems and network administration such as MCSE, CCNA, CCSE, CCSP, and RHCE.
• Experience: Work experience in a similar environment (e.g., as an intern) will be an advantage.
