SriLankan IT Systems drives the airline’s IT strategy through digital transformation, technology adoption, data modeling, business intelligence, and business continuity. The focus is on transforming business and operational processes, expanding digital passenger reach, and improving customer experience through solutions design, development, and integrations while enhancing airline IT domain knowledge. Award-winning SriLankan IT team is seeking dynamic individuals to join as an IT Project Controller.

The individual is responsible to manage the IT Projects to meet the stakeholder expectations within specified schedule, budgets and scope. Coordinate with all the parties involved with IT projects to ensure smooth execution and communicate the project status to achieve deadlines and deliverables. Analyze the IT Project Value Realization by reviewing the outcome of completed projects against the business objectives.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the IT Projects within the set scope, schedule and budget from the initiation till the successful closure of the project.
  • Lead and motivate the project team to achieve the timelines and targets. Address the bottlenecks and dependencies to facilitate the team to smoothly execute the assigned tasks.
  • Identify any skill & knowledge gaps in the project team and arrange necessary trainings, workshops and knowledge sharing sessions to bridge the gap.
  • Work with IT Business System Managers in the preparation and execution of project plans. Set deliverables and targets (Project milestones) for Project teams and closely supervise, follow-up, and monitor the progress of both the staff and their work.
  • Coordinate with resource managers regarding the resource requirements. Liaise and co-ordinate with all internal and external stakeholders of the project, to ensure that they meet the agreed targets set (Project milestones).
  • Maintain proper documentation for projects including the Project Charter, Project Plan, Risks & Issues Logs.
  • Manage the project cost within the approved budget. Any deviations to be escalated to necessary levels and seek approvals to proceed. Communicate the project cost & budget utilization to the key stake holders.
  • Review the IT Project Value Realization by comparing the project outcome of the delivered projects with the original business objectives of the project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree * in relevant field from a recognized University with minimum of 02 year post qualifying Relevant Experience (* Engineering, Computer Science, General Science with Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Applied Statistics)
    OR
  • Full professional qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 7 with 4 years post qualifying experience in a relevant discipline.

Age to be not more than 35 years as at 20th December 2024 which is the closing date.
