Position: IT Assistant/Data Entry Operator

Responsibilities:

  • Input and update inventory data, including product descriptions, quantities, and prices.
  • Print barcodes and maintain accurate records of sales transactions, including customer information and payment details.
  • Verify and correct data discrepancies or errors in the database.
  • Organize and categorize data entries for easy retrieval and analysis.
  • Assist in generating reports and summaries based on entered data.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures related to data management and security.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Data Entry Operator or in a similar role, preferably in an IT, retail, or fashion environment.
  • Proficiency in data entry software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or specialized inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, even under pressure.
  • Familiarity with basic office equipment, such as computers, scanners, and printers.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management principles is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional certification in data entry or a related field is an added advantage.
