Based at Matrix Thulhiriya
MAS Matrix is a diversified flat-knit apparel manufacturing facility under MAS Holdings. Matrix houses 1000 Stoll flatbed machines offerings athleisure wear, performance wear, essentials and knit components for global brands such as Nike, Decathlon, Gymshark, Lacoste, Victoria’s Secret and Stoko. Changing business dynamics prompted Matrix to explore innovative product solutions that go beyond the traditional realm of sweaters, launching its latest product platform, MVTM, a collection of highly functional, versatile, and fashion-forward designs
We are looking dynamic individual to join our Matrix team as an Intern.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the operations team in daily production monitoring and data collection.
- Assist in analyzing sewing line performance (efficiency, output, absenteeism, quality issues).
- Participate in process improvement initiatives under the guidance of Industrial Engineering and Production teams.
- Prepare and update basic reports, dashboards, and documentation (using Excel/ERP/Power BI where applicable).
- Shadow supervisors and managers to learn production planning, line balancing, and capacity management.
- Assist in coordinating with cross-functional teams (Quality, IE, Merchandising, Planning) to understand end-to-end operations.
- Participate in operator training and skill development initiatives as an observer/assistant.
- Gain exposure to lean manufacturing concepts, workplace organization (5S), and compliance practices.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the operations or sewing leadership team to support project deliverables.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Degree in Physical Science or Engineering
- Basic understanding of garment construction and sewing operations
- Ability to observe and analyze production flow with attention to detail
- Good Communication skills
