Intern-Autonomation

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Intern to join our Autonomation Team, where innovation meets manufacturing excellence. This role offers exposure to real-world automation projects, machine design, and process improvement within a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in attending to machine breakdowns and basic troubleshooting
- Support the design and development of jigs and automation fixtures
- Carry out laser cutting operations as required
- Contribute to the development of autonomation solutions alongside the team
- Collect and analyze operational data (cycle times, quantities, etc.) to calculate:
- Return on Investment (ROI)
- Degree of automation
- Project feasibility
- Prepare machine user manuals and assist in conducting basic user training
- Support in-house and factory testing, validating:
- Product quality
- Ease of operation
- Machine reliability
- Participate in research and innovation initiatives related to textile manufacturing autonomation, including collaboration with external bodies where applicable
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate following a Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Engineering or a related field
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical control systems
- Good understanding of mechanical system design, simulation, and prototyping
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to support training and knowledge-sharing activities
- Sound understanding of research methodology.
