We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Intern to join our Autonomation Team, where innovation meets manufacturing excellence. This role offers exposure to real-world automation projects, machine design, and process improvement within a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in attending to machine breakdowns and basic troubleshooting
  • Support the design and development of jigs and automation fixtures
  • Carry out laser cutting operations as required
  • Contribute to the development of autonomation solutions alongside the team
  • Collect and analyze operational data (cycle times, quantities, etc.) to calculate:
    • Return on Investment (ROI)
    • Degree of automation
    • Project feasibility
  • Prepare machine user manuals and assist in conducting basic user training
  • Support in-house and factory testing, validating:
    • Product quality
    • Ease of operation
    • Machine reliability
  • Participate in research and innovation initiatives related to textile manufacturing autonomation, including collaboration with external bodies where applicable

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate following a Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Engineering or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical control systems
  • Good understanding of mechanical system design, simulation, and prototyping
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to support training and knowledge-sharing activities
  • Sound understanding of research methodology.
