Job Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as the Head of Internal Audit. This role is critical in overseeing and ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to the Internal Audit Department and ensure operations align with the Audit Charter.
• Prepare and obtain approval for the risk-based annual audit plan from the Board Audit Committee (BAC).
• Manage the Annual Audit Plan and other unplanned assignments, reviewing audit work and reports.
• Make recommendations to improve the internal control environment and regulatory compliance.
• Furnish relevant reports and information required by the BAC in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional relationships with management and senior staff.
• Represent the Internal Audit Department at BAC meetings and other management meetings.

Qualifications:

• Member of CA/ACCA/CIMA with a good knowledge of compliance requirements for Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFIs).
• Knowledge of risks, internal controls, and best practices pertaining to NBFIs.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a reputed financial institution or bank, with at least 2 years in a similar capacity.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to drive a team for exceptional results.
• Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Deep understanding of regulations relevant to the finance industry.
