Garment Technologist
Job Description
🎯 The Job: Core Purpose
The Garment Technologist is responsible for coordinating and providing technical support for assigned products/styles. This technical support spans the entire pre-production development process to ensure production feasibility and quality, including:
- Customer Specifications: Understanding customer requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Coordinating development risk assessments.
- Costing: Consumption costing.
- Patterns & Samples: Pattern development, coordination for sample development/fit sessions, and obtaining sample approvals.
- Production Readiness: Supporting the handover of developed styles to Production.
📝 Key Responsibilities
The role involves managing technical aspects, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring key deadlines are met:
- Pre-Sample Development:
- Responsible for understanding customer requirements.
- Coordinating for pre-sample development requirements, including risk assessment, consumption costing, and validation processes.
- Sample Delivery: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for the achievement of sample development OTD (On-Time Delivery) and customer satisfaction objectives.
- Production Handover: Collaborate with concerned internal teams for effective Production Handover of developed styles.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Textile / Clothing Technology / Textile Engineering or any other relevant area.
- Experience: Around 1 to 2 years of experience in Pattern making / Product Development with good exposure to Technical / Fit & Construction concepts.
