Job Opportunity: Extension Officer (Organic Agriculture) at PODIE (Sri Lanka)
Peoples Organisation for Development Import & Export (PODIE), a processed food export-oriented organization exporting to Europe, Scandinavia, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, is seeking an Extension Officer (Organic Agriculture) to join our Internal Control Department.
Responsibilities:
- Providing technical advice and support to our organic farmers.
- Conducting regular field visits to certified farmers.
- Coordinating and conducting training sessions and capacity-building programs for organic agriculture.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture.
- One year of field-related work experience is an added advantage; fresh graduates with qualifications are encouraged to apply.
- Age below 32 years.
- Candidates located within a 25km radius of the Negombo area will be given preference.
- Excellent computer literacy and communication skills are essential.
- Valid driving license for motorbikes/light vehicles.
