Executive – Remittance Business Development

International Remittance Department

Job Profile:

  • Support the launch and promotion of remittance products through targeted marketing campaigns, branch-level activations, ground-level promotional activities, andSS awareness sessions conducted at branches, SLFEB Centres, and authorised Foreign Employment Agencies.
  • Provide operational support and guidance to branch staff by addressing inquiries related to remittance transactions, remittance business operations, Remit Max savings products, and Pre-Departure loan facilities.
  • Work closely with the Bank’s Marketing Department and internal stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and implement promotional campaigns aimed at increasing product awareness and customer engagement.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including employment agencies and institutional partners, to promote the Bank’s remittance solutions and drive growth in remittance and CASA volumes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with migrant workers, conducting regular follow-ups to ensure consistent remittance flows.
  • Identify, approach, and onboard corporate remittance clients through existing networks and new business development initiatives.

Entry Requirements

Candidate Criteria:

  • Part qualification in Banking from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL) or a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university.
  • Minimum of 3 – 4 years’ experience in the commercial banking sector.
  • Prior experience in working with Core Banking Systems will be an added advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, with a strong team-oriented mindset.
  • Sound analytical ability, negotiation skills, and a proactive, results-driven approach.
