Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as an Executive in Internal Audit. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular audits of outlets and warehouses to ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Review financial records and transactions at outlets and warehouses, ensuring accuracy and integrity of reporting, and identifying any fraudulent activities or irregularities.
- Assist in the preparation of audit plans for outlet and warehouse audits, ensuring a systematic and thorough approach to internal auditing.
- Perform surprise audits at outlets and warehouses to assess adherence to policies and procedures, with particular attention to cash handling, stock management, and operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present audit reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations to management, highlighting key areas of concern and advising on necessary actions.
- Ensure proper documentation of audit processes, findings, and evidence in line with Lanka Sathosa Ltd.’s internal audit procedures and standards.
Qualifications:
External Candidates: (1 or 2 below)
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Management / Business Administration/ Public Administration/ Commerce with appropriate subject combinations recognized by the U.G.C.
- Having passed the Intermediate Examination of a recognized professional Chartered Institute, of which the subject area is relevant to the post.
Age: Should be not less than 22 years and not more than 45 years.
Salary & Other Allowances: Salary will be paid subject to the Government Circulars.
Nature of Appointment: Permanent Basis with entitlement to EPF and ETF.
The Ideal Candidate Should Also:
- Have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Possess strong leadership qualities and interpersonal communication skills.
- Be able to demonstrate good IT skills.
- Have a proven ability to lead and direct multi-disciplinary teams.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Must be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post effectively.
- Must be of excellent moral character.
