Role Overview:
As an Executive – Credit, you will be responsible for evaluating credit proposals, ensuring compliance with credit policies, and maintaining a healthy lending portfolio. You will also conduct credit audits, provide training to branch staff, and ensure adherence to regulatory and operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate credit proposals and provide credit recommendations/approvals.
  • Ensure credit approvals and risk exposures are within the Credit Policy and Lending Guidelines.
  • Maintain a healthy lending portfolio in assigned regions by driving a strong credit culture and managing risks.
  • Conduct periodic credit audits to verify credit decisions.
  • Provide on-the-job training and knowledge sharing to branch staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, operational, risk, and statutory guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Banking & Finance from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka, or a Diploma in Credit Management from a recognized professional institute, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a credit portfolio in a reputed organization, preferably in Banking or Non-banking Finance.
  • Thorough understanding of credit policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Sinhala.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and a strong aptitude for technology.
