Job Description

We are seeking a talented and driven DevOps Engineer to join our team! As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining our tooling and automation solutions. Your work will directly impact the reliability and efficiency of our operational platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining new and existing tooling/automation solutions.
  • Lead automation initiatives, ensuring the continued robustness of daily operations.
  • Enable continuous integration, testing, and deployment through industry best practices and DevOps tools.
  • Mentor and guide the team in best practices.
  • Utilize technical expertise to drive the organization toward achieving high availability, scalability, and security in all services.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to service and process quality, proactively preventing issues and driving resolutions efficiently.
  • Expand knowledge of processes and technical domains continuously while providing strategic insights and guidance to others.

Essential Duties and Accountabilities

  • Lead the identification and execution of new or enhanced automation opportunities to drive efficiencies, producing designs and strategic plans.
  • Own the maintenance and expansion of existing automations and related processes, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Create high-quality documentation, presentations, and training materials to support knowledge sharing across teams.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders, ensuring high satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality, thoroughly tested, and frequently deployed software.
  • Mentor and guide colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Provide leadership in service/program management activities, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives.

Overall Required Competence

  • Strong source code management expertise.
  • Advanced CI/CD tools implementation and optimization skills.
  • Extensive cloud computing experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Test data management and automation experience.
  • Deep understanding of operating systems and infrastructure management.
  • Expertise in quality assurance processes and automated testing.
  • Business application and process knowledge to align DevOps strategies with company goals.
  • Software security best practices to ensure robust and compliant solutions.
  • Proven technical leadership experience in guiding and mentoring engineering teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Education & Experience

  • A University degree, or equivalent professional qualifications, in software/system engineering or IT operations is essential for all DevOps engineer career levels.
