We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to effectively and consistently come up with conceptual ideas which can be converted to commercially viable products that either satisfies a need or solves a consumer problem whilst being trend right and brand relevant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research to understand the customer’s brand identity and the final consumers’ lifestyle needs, understand the product range of a brand and what competitive brands have to offer for the season, Research and Identify the general seasonal trend directions in Silhouette, Print & graphic, Embellishment & finishing and Fabric for both Digital & Core Customers.
- Filter out the key signals / trends, & brainstorm as to how they can be interpreted into concepts with brand and consumer relevance, convert concepts into detailed illustrations and generate Tech Packs with clear technical descriptions and material, Print and Embellishment details to facilitate handover of concepts to tech teams for sampling.
- Follow-up coordinate and work closely with Project managers and tech team to ensure quality of samples turned out. Attend fit sessions when relevant for design concepts, Understand the fit requirements of the style being filled, identify fit related issues in the filled style along with the tech reps, systematically record fit comments and pass on to relevant tech team, Preparation of samples along with any other supporting props, story boards, PP presentations etc. along with all relevant documentation for samples to be presented to customers.
- Attend and lead the tech pack meeting in making sure the design intent is clearly conveyed in terms of material, construction, print & embellishments, so the team has complete clarity of the design intent of concept.
- Maintain and update all documentation relevant to the design process from research to presentation preparation Style file – Project Plan, T&A, Design Brief, Design Illustrations, Tech Packs, Fit Comments Sheets, Fabric Continuity Cards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Sound knowledge on design related soft wear such as illustrator, Photoshop
- A Degree/Diploma in fashion design.
- Knowledge on product development
