Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to join our team as the Deputy General Manager of Finance. This role is pivotal in enhancing the financial performance and sustainability of Lanka Sathosa Ltd.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to enhance the financial performance and sustainability of Lanka Sathosa Ltd.
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cost-control measures.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with government regulations and internal policies.
- Monitor cash flow, optimize working capital, and manage banking relationships and financial arrangements.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce unnecessary expenditures.
- Oversee financial aspects of procurement and inventory management to prevent losses and inefficiencies.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and coordinate with internal/external auditors.
- Lead and mentor a team of Finance professionals to achieve organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
External Candidates: (1 or 2 below)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy / Finance Management / Commerce recognized by the U.G.C. with a Postgraduate Degree qualification (Masters) in the relevant field or Associate Membership of a recognized professional Chartered Institute relevant to the subject area of the post.
And
Minimum of 15 years’ experience at a “Managerial Level,” out of which 05 years should be at a Senior Managerial Level with a proven track record in a Corporation, Statutory Board/Institution, or a reputed private institution. - Full Membership of a recognized professional body “Chartered Institute,” relevant to the subject area of the post.
And
Minimum of 15 years’ experience at a “Managerial Level,” out of which 05 years should be at a Senior Managerial Level with a proven track record in a Corporation, Statutory Board/Institution, or a reputed private institution.
Age: Should be not less than 35 years and not more than 60 years.
Salary & Other Allowances: Negotiable
Nature of Appointment: Two (02) years contract, subject to annual renewal with eligibility for EPF and ETF.
The Ideal Candidate Should Also:
- Have experience in a reputed commercial or multinational organization in a similar capacity.
- Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and interpersonal communication skills.
- Be proficient in IT skills.
- Have a proven ability to lead and direct multi-disciplinary teams.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Must be physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post effectively.
- Must be of excellent moral character.
