Job Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Deputy General Manager – Finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies to enhance the financial performance and sustainability of Lanka Sathosa Ltd.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to enhance financial performance.
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cost-control measures.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with government regulations and internal policies.
- Monitor cash flow, optimize working capital, and manage banking relationships.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to reduce unnecessary expenditures.
- Oversee financial aspects of procurement and inventory management.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and coordinate with internal/external auditors.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals to achieve organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
External Candidates:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy / Finance Management / Commerce (recognized by the U.G.C.) with a Postgraduate Degree (Masters) in the relevant field or Associate Membership of a recognized professional Chartered Institute relevant to the post.
And
Minimum of 15 years’ experience at a managerial level, with 5 years at a senior managerial level in a Corporation, Statutory Board/Institution, or reputed private institution. - Full Membership of a recognized professional body (Chartered Institute) relevant to the post.
And
Minimum of 15 years’ experience at a managerial level, with 5 years at a senior managerial level in a Corporation, Statutory Board/Institution, or reputed private institution.
Age: 35 to 60 years.
Salary & Other Allowances: Negotiable
Nature of Appointment: Two-year contract, subject to annual renewal, with eligibility for EPF and ETF.
Ideal Candidates Should Also:
- Have experience in a reputed commercial or multinational organization in a similar capacity.
- Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and interpersonal communication skills.
- Have good IT skills and the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Physically and mentally fit to discharge the duties of the post.
- Of excellent moral character.
