Are you a legal professional with a passion for financial services and corporate law? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – Corporate Legal to join our growing team. This role is crucial in ensuring legal compliance and supporting our strategic goals.

The Job (Key Responsibilities)

• Ensure full compliance with financial sector regulations, including CBSL, SEC and other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including loan agreements, vendor contracts and service agreements.
• Manage legal disputes, coordinate with external counsel and represent the company in legal proceedings when necessary.
• Identify legal risks across business functions and implement effective mitigation strategies to safeguard company interests.
• Offer sound legal advice to senior management to support decision-making and sustainable business growth.

The Person (Requirements)

• 10–15 years of legal practice in the banking or NBFI sector, with exposure to corporate, commercial and regulatory law.
• Should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B.) and a Master’s Degree (LL.M., MBA in Business Law, or Corporate Governance) is preferred.
• Prior experience as a senior legal counsel or in a managerial role within a corporate environment.
• Strong track record in contract negotiation, compliance, litigation management and corporate governance.
