Bauddhaloka Foundation, under Sumathi Holdings, is seeking a dedicated Coordinating Officer to oversee religious and CSR-related event coordination, media coverage, special project follow-ups, and content creation. Job Description:
As a Coordinating Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating events, creating content, managing projects, and ensuring the smooth execution of religious and CSR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate religious and CSR-related events, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to cultural values.
- Take meeting minutes of Bauddhaloka Foundation meetings and track action points.
- Follow up on special projects related to religious initiatives, Sri Lankan heritage, and CSR activities.
- Create content for newspaper articles, flyers, and other publications.
- Draft, edit, and proofread Sinhala and English articles, letters, and official documents.
- Lead the organization of Buddhist book launches, including planning, execution, and budgeting.
- Work closely with designers to develop flyers, banners, and promotional materials (knowledge of graphic design is a plus).
- Maintain archives of historical research, event reports, and publications.
- Liaise with media to arrange event coverage and publicity.
- Coordinate with monastic institutions, scholars, and stakeholders for event planning and project approvals.
- Willingness to travel island-wide to coordinate and support projects.
Requirements:
- Excellent Sinhala writing skills for article and content creation.
- Proficiency in English writing and communication.
- A Degree or Diploma in Buddhist Culture or Archaeology will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar capacity.
- Experience in event coordination, media relations, and content writing.
- Ability to take accurate and well-structured meeting minutes.
- Experience in budgeting and financial planning for events.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva is an advantage).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Willingness to travel across Sri Lanka for project coordination and event execution.
