ASSOCIATE MANAGER

FINANCE & ACCOUNTING

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the payment vouchers are authorized within set timelines while complying with accounting policies and other regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate with branch staff to expedite payments efficiently, identify process gaps, and work hands-on with teams to implement stronger controls and smoother operations through necessary branch visits.
• Analyze payment transactions to identify cost-saving opportunities, develop and implement strategies that reduce expenses while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
• Monitor branch petty-cash usage and reimbursements while ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a relevant field.
• Part qualification in CA/ CIMA/ACCA or an equivalent.
• Minimum of 03 years’ experience in accounting.
• Thorough knowledge on Sri Lanka Accounting Standards.
• Work experience in Non-Bank Financial Institution (NBFI) and audit firms is preferred.
• Strong aptitude for technology and software use including proficiency in MS office.
• A mindset of strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with ability to pay attention to detail, work independently, demonstrate positive attitude, drive and initiative.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Sinhala and English and ability to communicate in Tamil would be an added advantage.
