• Role: Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance – Operations
• Location: MAS Active – Shadowline, Katunayake

Job Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to ensure adherence to all customer quality procedures from the receipt of fabric rolls to the assembly and dispatch of finished garments, thereby facilitating non-rejection of garments by customers.

Candidate Profile (Knowledge & Skills)

• Education: Degree in Textiles or a relevant qualification.
• Experience: 3 – 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Garment Technical knowledge.
  • Knowledge in knit and woven fabric.
  • Knowledge of product quality for premium brands (e.g., Lululemon & Lacoste).
  • Customer knowledge in Quality in Control & Quality Management.
• Soft Skills: Good Communication skills.

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do)

• Ensure buyer requirements are fulfilled according to standards upon receipt of fabric by conducting an inspection process.
• Maintain and ensure adherence to a Quality Assurance system using tools like TOP (Top of Production), FML (First Middle Last)/Measles chart/Defect card system/Green card system.
• Ensure adherence to standard processes for laying and cutting fabric.
• Monitor and solve issues related to measurement and construction during final inspection of goods prior to shipment.
• Ensure all garments meet customer quality requirements before leaving the factory.
• Guide personnel to obtain Customer Certified Auditor qualification and conduct training programs.
