Position Overview:
We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Merchandising (Fabrics) with a strong background in fabric sourcing, vendor management, and merchandising. The ideal candidate will ensure timely delivery and high-quality fabric selection for our apparel production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage fabric sourcing, selection, and negotiation with suppliers to meet production requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with fabric vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor and ensure timely fabric deliveries for production deadlines.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to select and approve fabrics for new collections.
- Maintain inventory and manage fabric stock levels.
- Monitor fabric quality, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Support cost optimization strategies for fabric procurement.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualifications in textiles, fashion, or business.
- Proven experience in fabric merchandising within the apparel manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of fabric sourcing, procurement, and inventory management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of fabric quality standards and market trends.
