Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Assistant Manager – IT for our client company located in Colombo 04.

Job Responsibilities 

IT Infrastructure & Security –

  • Design, implement, and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations.
  • Ensure robust cyber security measures, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, and data encryption.
  • Develop IT policies and procedures to ensure security, compliance, and efficiency
  • Monitor system performance and ensure minimal downtime.

ERP & Software Management –

  • Oversee the implementation of an ERP system for inventory, sales, service, and finance management.
  • Ensure proper training for employees on ERP and software applications.
  • Troubleshoot ERP and software-related issues and work with vendors for necessary upgrades or fixes.

IT Support –

  • Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Manage IT asset procurement, tracking, and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement IT training programs for staff.

Compliance & Risk Management –

  • Ensure IT systems comply with corporate and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Work with external vendors and consultants to ensure compliance with IT best practices.

Requirements

  • Male candidates with age below 40 years
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 05 years and above experience in IT sector including more than 02 years of experience in IT management.
  • Experience in an automotives business would be an additional advantage.
  • Excellent in English is a must with Sinhala is essential (Tamil being an added advantage)
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP B1, IFS, or similar)
  • Knowledge in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Strong understanding of IT security best practices
  • Familiarity with networking, VPNs, firewalls, and remote access solutions
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with non-technical teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and take ownership of IT operations
  • Preferably candidates reside in Colombo or near area for easy commute

Salary is negotiable and will commensurate with qualifications and experience to the right candidate.
