Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager – Investments to join our client’s team in Colombo 07. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth investment analysis, overseeing governance and compliance, and managing unit pricing and fund accounting to ensure optimal investment performance and regulatory adherence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team’s research deliverables, conducting in-depth fundamental analysis on fixed income, equity, and credit investments.
  • Prepare detailed investment reports with company and industry-specific recommendations and present investment opinions to senior management.
  • Oversee economic analysis and financial trend presentations.
  • Conduct investment analysis specifically within the insurance sector.
  • Maintain governance by ensuring compliance with the Investment Policy and Investment Mandates.
  • Ensure timely compliance oversight, including reviewing and implementing Group investment standards.
  • Define and generate management information (MI) to ensure investment activities align with regulatory guidelines, investment policies, and mandates.
  • Oversee all aspects of unit pricing and fund accounting, including managing outsourced fund accounting and unit price service providers.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics from a recognized university.
  • Fully qualified in CIMA, ICASL, or ACCA.
  • CFA qualification or candidacy is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the financial sector, specifically in investment management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Compensation:

The selected candidate will be paid on par with industry standards.
