Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our client’s Investments team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering research deliverables, conducting in-depth analysis, and overseeing various aspects of investment management.

Responsibilities:

• Research & Analysis:
  • Deliver team’s research deliverables, including in-depth fundamental fixed income, equity, and credit analysis.
  • Prepare written reports outlining company and industry-specific investment recommendations.
  • Present investment opinions to senior staff.
• Oversight:
  • Oversee areas of economic analysis and finding presentations.
  • Oversee areas of insurance sector investment analysis.
  • Assist in maintaining governance (Investment Policy, Investment Mandates).
  • Assist in compliance oversight (Group investment standards).
• Reporting & Compliance:
  • Define and generate MI to ensure investment management adheres to regulations, policies, and mandates.
• Fund Management:
  • Manage all aspects of unit pricing and fund accounting, including oversight of outsourced services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics from a recognized university.
• Fully qualified in CIMA, ICASL, or ACCA.
• CFA candidates will have an added advantage.
• Over five years of experience in the financial sector, including investment or fund management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
