We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager – Credit Control to join our dynamic team in the FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing credit policies, assessing customer creditworthiness, and ensuring timely collections to minimize financial risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to minimize financial risk and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assess customer creditworthiness by analyzing financial statements, credit history, and market trends.
- Establish and monitor credit limits for customers and recommend changes when necessary.
- Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to manage credit approvals and terms.
- Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and minimize bad debts.
- Handle dispute resolution related to payments and coordinate with internal stakeholders for quick resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a professional qualification (fully/partially) in ICASL/ACCA or CIMA.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit management, preferably within the FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment and financial analysis.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
