Assistant Manager ‐ Business Development
(Based at Thulhiriya)

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to support in establishing MAS Fabrics – MATRIX, as a “One-Stop-Shop” from Design to Delivery, by leading and creating design concepts and products, in collaboration with the Business Development Teams and Design Teams of the customers to generate sales and support business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop yearly overall Marketing strategy, capacity fulfilment and long-range plan in coordination with the General Manager of Business Development.
- Develop customer strategy, product strategy and pricing strategy with existing customers and involved in onboarding customers for future growth to support business growth align to LRP through coordination with the General Manager of Business Development.
- Collaborate with the internal legal and finance teams with finalizing onboarding related documents (agreements, contracts and securing IP) to ensure smooth functioning of customer onboarding processes.
- Liaise with the customer & category team (Including members from the Design, Industrial Engineering, Sourcing, Production Engineering, Tech Programming, and finance) to provide the required information (Tech-pack details, approvals and colors) to key stakeholders in relation to sample process, so as to ensure smooth functioning of process without affecting any party within the value chain and delivery as per the Production Progress Report.
- Follow-up on the capacity fulfilment status at the factories, monitor the fulfilment status together with the planning team and identifying orders to be advanced or pushed-back to cater to empty and overcapacity situations.
- Collaborate with customers for seasonal design & material inspiration and align the fabric development process by allocating adequate value stream resources and availing necessary documentations within the expectations for on time submission.
- Monitor & direct the team to ensure availability of reliable management information required on routine & adhoc basis for management decision making.
- Coordinate with work-study team on the raw material consumption, Standard Minute Value per style and maintain production parameters to facilitate on time delivery of goods to the customer.
- Coordinate with the sourcing team for supplier activities to ensure that the Plant obtains raw material to the required quality, timeliness and at the best prices.
- Analyze the value chain loading and understand the resource requirement to ensure effective utilization to meet the expected goals.
- Leading the team to provide the required information to stakeholders in relation to product profitability, Customer profitability, pre & post costing information and Understand the post order costing and ensuring the profitability well within the approved costing.
- Provide insight towards the development of creating succession pipelines and retention of critical resources within the team.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Degree in Marketing or a relevant field
- CIM or an equivalent professional qualification
- 5+ years’ experience in similar capacity
- Product development and costing knowledge
- Required Strong knowledge of flat knitting apparel manufacturing processes (yarn selection, knitting technology, garment development, and finishing).
- Proficiency in business development and client relationship management within the apparel/textile sector.
- Ability to conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen (pricing strategies, cost analysis, margin improvement).
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills with both local and international buyers.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning and Customer Relationship Management systems.
- Understanding of sustainability and compliance standards in the apparel industry (Ethical sourcing and eco‐friendly materials).
- Strong project management skills to handle cross‐functional collaboration (R&D, production, merchandising, and sales)
