We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Investment Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality investment research and analysis to support the company’s investment decision-making process. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis on fixed income, equity, and credit markets to support investment decisions.
- Prepare detailed written reports with company and industry-specific investment recommendations and present findings to senior management.
- Oversee economic analysis, providing insights through presentations and reports.
- Lead research on the insurance sector’s investment landscape to identify trends and opportunities.
- Maintain governance frameworks by updating the Investment Policy and Investment Mandates.
- Support compliance oversight by reviewing and implementing Group investment standards.
- Generate Management Information (MI) reports to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, investment policies, and mandates.
- Manage unit pricing and fund accounting activities, including oversight of outsourced service providers.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in Management, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics.
- Fully qualified in CIMA, ICASL, or ACCA. CFA candidates will have an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of pure investment experience, with preference for local investment companies such as Asia Securities, Asset Trust, Assertine, or First Capital.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.
