Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Investment Manager to join our team in Colombo. This role involves delivering high-quality investment research and analysis to support our investment decision-making process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth fundamental analysis on fixed income, equity, and credit markets.
- Prepare detailed written reports with investment recommendations and present findings to senior management.
- Oversee economic analysis and provide insights through presentations and reports.
- Lead research on the insurance sector’s investment landscape to identify trends and opportunities.
- Maintain governance frameworks by updating the Investment Policy and Investment Mandates.
- Support compliance oversight by reviewing and implementing Group investment standards.
- Generate Management Information (MI) reports to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage unit pricing and fund accounting activities, including oversight of outsourced service providers.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics from a recognized university.
- Fully qualified in CIMA, ICASL, or ACCA. CFA candidates will have an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of pure investment experience, preferably with local investment companies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.
