About the Role:
Lifeserv (Pvt) Ltd, a subsidiary of Sumathi Holdings and a leading pharmaceutical importer and distributor in Sri Lanka, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Executive to join our team. This role involves supporting financial operations, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the overall growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process payments based on complete and accurate source documents, ensuring timely settlement of creditors.
- Maintain all balance sheet schedules, including Bank Facility Report, Loans, and other receivables and payables.
- Prepare cash flow statements in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain tax schedules in accordance with tax guidelines and consultants (VAT, SSCL, Stamp Duty).
- Generate reports, analyze data, and support the preparation of annual financial budgets and forecasts.
- Handle invoicing in accordance with accounting and tax compliances.
- Prepare bank reconciliations promptly.
- Maintain accounting records and supporting documents as required by company policies and statutory compliances.
- Alert the Finance-In-Charge on reaching minimum stock levels, lost sales due to stock shortages, new inquiries, and slow-moving stocks.
- Analyze debtors for segments and individuals, follow up on debtors, and maintain status reports.
- Contribute to drafting, upgrading, and implementing SOPs for key finance processes and monitor their effectiveness.
Ideal Candidate Should Possess:
- Part qualification in CA.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- 1 – 2 years of experience in a reputed audit firm.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and meet deadlines.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
