We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to help coordinate all production activities pertaining to assigned production modules in order to ensure on time delivery of products as per customer specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in managing the Production process so as to ensure lines are balanced and fed, checking hourly output whilst, ensuring bottlenecks and any related issues are attended to in a timely manner in order to ensure products are delivered to the customer as per customer specifications.
• Conduct meetings such as Team Leader forum to inform the allocated lines of the previous day’s performance such as efficiency, damages and stain rate. and identify and address issues which may be faced during the course of the current day so as to ensure a smooth production process.
• Perform the following in order to ensure smooth progression of Production operations:
  • Ensure availability of cut panels, fabric, accessories and inform relevant personnel of unavailability.
  • Ensure machines are available and arranged according to layouts.
  • Ensure suitable heat seal requirements are met.
  • Oversee the pilot-run and quality checking process of sewn garments.
  • Ensure all operatives understand the style which incorporates quality, sewing techniques, and delivery dates.
  • Coordinate with the Production Technician in order to allocate operatives to the lines and address bottlenecks.
  • Plan operations for Salesman Sample together with relevant Production team.
• Observe the production activities for assigned modules and suggest work improvement methods to Industrial Engineering in order to improve given Standard Minute Values.
• Monitor bundling and packing operations and ensure accurate operations as per given specifications whilst, solving issues with relevant personnel in a timely manner when required.
• Participate in relevant meetings such as Pre-production, Operation meetings, first 10 pieces meeting, shipment meetings and inform relevant personnel of issues faced such as efficiency, damages, runs, oil stains, approval of samples, trim cards. so as to ensure all relevant personnel are updated on issues faced and to expedite the problem-solving process whilst also, educating team on style details.
• Approve relevant documents such as incentives, Accepted Quality Level (AQL) reports, overtime, damage replacement and maintain documents such as the planning and delivery schedules for perusal in order to facilitate Production.
• Prepare and update the following reports and records and forward to relevant personnel for perusal when needed:
  • Monthly resource plan.
  • Monthly down time report with information such as machine inefficiencies, reasons for breakdowns.
  • Update daily line wise status report against the planned status and suggest an appropriate action plan in this regard.
• Establish and maintain relationships, follow Management instructions, recommend for training and development programmes and motivate staff in order to maintain a harmonious working environment whilst also, ensuring employees are well aware of safety procedures and strict adherence in order to avoid injuries and accidents.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Degree in Physical Science and specialized Mathematics stream.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field.
• Communication Skills.
• Negotiation Skills.
