💼 Job Profile
The Surgical Manager will lead and manage the entire Surgical Program, focusing on clinical quality, financial performance, and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead and manage the overall Surgical Program, ensuring seamless coordination with consultants, business heads, and clinical teams to deliver superior clinical and business outcomes.
- Financial Management: Drive annual surgical planning and budgeting, achieving volume and financial targets.
- Quality & Experience: Enhance consultant and patient experience through effective incident management, issue resolution, and high-quality surgical care.
- Service Delivery: Strengthen surgical service delivery by identifying improvement areas, expanding key specialties, optimizing packaging and pricing, and guiding procurement and equipment decisions.
- Strategy & Planning: Provide strategic insights and recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement.
- Project Role: Play a key role in planning, developing, and overseeing high-end surgical services, infrastructure, staffing, implementing quality, and safety standards in the new expansion project in Thalawathugoda.
⭐ Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate must meet stringent medical and administrative requirements:
- Medical Qualification: MBBS from a recognized university with full SLMC registration, supported by postgraduate qualifications in Medical Administration or Business Administration.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of clinical and administrative experience in a surgical hospital with over 50 bed capacity, including hands-on experience in managing surgical patients.
- Strong clinical acumen with surgical exposure, combined with sound business insight to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to build effective relationships.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and lead change initiatives while upholding high standards of customer satisfaction and clinical governance.
