We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in the furniture industry to lead our QS team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring effective cost planning and control.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives, identify financial risks, and provide strategic input on project budgets.
  • Act as the key point of contact for senior management, clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring clear communication and resolution of cost-related issues.
  • Develop and implement best practices, SOPs, and efficiency improvements in cost management and procurement.
  • Conduct pre-costing analysis for accurate budget estimations, working closely with design and engineering teams.
  • Review project financial performance, ensure timely reporting of cost variations, and prepare reports for management.
  • Oversee subcontractor payments, verifying previous payments, deductions, and preparing IPCs.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management on cost forecasting, budget adjustments, and project financial health.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • 6 to 7 years of experience in the furniture industry as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in cost estimation, contract management, and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying software.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects effectively.
