Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Deputy General Manager – Finance to lead and enhance the financial performance and sustainability of Lanka Sathosa Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, strategic planning, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to improve organizational performance.
- Oversee the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cost-control measures.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with government regulations and internal policies.
- Monitor cash flow, optimize working capital, and manage banking relationships.
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance requirements.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to reduce unnecessary expenditures.
- Oversee financial aspects of procurement and inventory management to prevent losses.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and coordinate with internal/external auditors.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals to achieve organizational goals.
Qualifications:
External Candidates (must meet one of the following):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance Management, or Commerce (recognized by the U.G.C.) with a Postgraduate Degree (Masters) in a relevant field or Associate Membership of a recognized professional Chartered Institute.
- Minimum of 15 years of managerial experience, including 5 years at a senior managerial level in a Corporation, Statutory Board, or reputed private institution.
- Full Membership of a recognized professional Chartered Institute relevant to the post.
- Minimum of 15 years of managerial experience, including 5 years at a senior managerial level in a Corporation, Statutory Board, or reputed private institution.
Age: 35 to 60 years.
Salary & Allowances: Negotiable
Nature of Appointment: 2-year contract, renewable annually, with eligibility for EPF and ETF.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Experience in a reputed commercial or multinational organization in a similar capacity.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership qualities and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in IT and financial software.
- Proven ability to lead and direct multi-disciplinary teams.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a citizen of Sri Lanka.
- Physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the role.
- Possess excellent moral character.
