Our client is a leading manufacturing company located in Horana, known for its commitment to excellence and innovation in the production industry. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager – Production to join their team.

Position Overview:
The Assistant Manager – Production will be responsible for overseeing production processes, optimizing operations, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production planning, process optimization, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily production activities to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Implement and monitor production planning and process optimization strategies.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Utilize ERP systems and production-related software to streamline operations.
• Lead and mentor production teams to achieve organizational goals.
• Identify and resolve production-related issues promptly.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to improve processes.
• Adapt to dynamic environments and work effectively under pressure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, process optimization, and quality management systems.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and production-related software.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage teams effectively.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards in a production setting.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and work under pressure.
