Role Overview:
The Head of Internal Audit is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and governance practices within the organization. This position ensures that the company adheres to regulatory requirements and maintains robust internal audit standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to the Internal Audit Department, ensuring alignment with the Audit Charter.
• Prepare and obtain approval for the risk-based annual audit plan from the Board Audit Committee (BAC).
• Manage the Annual Audit Plan and unplanned assignments, reviewing audit work and reports to enhance delivery standards.
• Recommend improvements to the internal control environment and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Submit timely reports and information required by the BAC.
• Maintain professional relationships with management and senior staff.
• Represent the Internal Audit Department at BAC and other management meetings.

Qualifications:

• Member of CA/ACCA/CIMA with a strong understanding of compliance requirements for Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFIs).
• In-depth knowledge of risks, internal controls, and best practices in NBFIs.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a reputed financial institution or bank, with at least 2 years in a similar role.
• Excellent leadership skills with a proven ability to drive teams to achieve exceptional results.
• Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Thorough understanding of finance industry regulations.
