Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials, furniture components, hardware, fittings, finishes, and services required for interior decoration projects and furniture manufacturing.
- Process Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company procurement policies and approval procedures.
- Obtain quotations, conduct price comparisons, negotiate with suppliers, and recommend the most cost-effective procurement options while maintaining quality and delivery requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, production, stores, suppliers, and site teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and prevent project or production delays.
- Support inventory management by conducting scheduled stock counts, ensuring inventory accuracy, and minimizing excess, slow-moving, and obsolete stock.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, quotations, price comparisons, and inventory information.
- Monitor procurement costs and support cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or project timelines.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Qualifications & Experiences
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Business Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in project procurement, furniture manufacturing, interior decoration, construction, or a related industry.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, inventory control, and material planning.
- Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of ERP systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV, SAP, Oracle, or similar) will be an added advantage.
