Job Description

Purpose:

Perform assurance and continuous monitoring engagements to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the systems of internal control, risk management and governance process.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing continuous monitoring engagement programmes in order to achieve the desired audit objectives.
• Plan each continuous monitoring engagement with regard to time frames and extent of checking etc. in consultation with the Assurance & Advisory Services Specialist / Manager to ensure that work is carried in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner to achieve effective results. Further, ensure that working papers are completed as per Group Assurance & Advisory Services(GAAS) standards.
• Identify, analyze, evaluate, interpret and document sufficient and appropriate information to achieve engagement objectives, ensuring that the information is competent, relevant, useful and provides a reasonable basis for the engagement findings.
• Discuss the summary of observations with departmental management in order to arrive at a reasonable conclusion and communicate the results of the engagement by way of a draft report to ensure engagement findings are reported on an objective, clear, concise, constructive and timely manner.
• Perform special assignments and any administrative work assigned by the Assurance & Advisory Services Manager – Continuous Monitoring & Audit Analytics.
• Assist in conducting follow-up reviews to ensure that action owners have implemented the agreed recommendations appropriately.

Requirements

• 6 Passes at GCE O/L with credit for English and Mathematics, 3 passes at GCE A/L and completed stage 1 of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka or equivalent Professional/academic qualification with 2 years work experience in audit and/or assurance services.
  OR
• 6 Passes at GCE O/L with credit for English and Mathematics, 3 passes at GCE A/L and with 4 years work experience in audit and/or assurance services.

Age to be not more than 30 years as at 16th January 2026 which is the closing date.

Be a Sri Lankan Citizen.

Employment will be offered on fixed term contract.
