Senior Executive ‐ Quality Assurance 

(BASED AT HANWELLA)

Linea Aqua operates across Sri Lanka and Vietnam, and in addition to swimwear, also offers activewear solutions to select customers, providing a comprehensive service across performance and lifestyle categories. Along with servicing its joint venture partner, Speedo, the company also services premier international brands such as In Private, Aerie, and Land’s End, and is the go-to manufacturer for high-performance swimwear worn by Olympic athletes.

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to monitor all quality functions in all the areas, identify and resolve all quality issues in order to facilitate the production process and ensure customer requirements are met whilst achieving highest productivity levels by allocating appropriate resources.

 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor all quality assurance and control systems and processes practiced in production, cutting, embroidery and AQL in order to ensure adherence of quality standards, as per customer specifications and requirements.
  • Direct and develop quality executives and technicians to proactive participation in pre-production meetings and effective involvement in Quick Change Over activities, line feedings & set Accepted Quality Level (AQL) standards to make decisions
  • Gather information and resolve the day-to-day quality issues and provide subordinates with quality decisions, suggestions and action plans in order to maintain a smooth production process.
  • Proactively identify quality trends, change systems, allocate resources and implement new systems to meet customer requirements and get involved in Factory Certification Auditing (FCA) process by maintaining strong relationships with auditors and customer representatives.
  • Direct quality executives to set up AQL standards, to make decisions, develop team skills and motivate for maximum team performance / design and conduct training and skill development programs.
  • Maintain proper documentation in case of failures in the final shipment and to refer during any quality issues and review quality reports to facilitate management decision making.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Textile, Apparel Manufacturing, Quality Management or a related field.
  • 4 ‐ 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the apparel manufacturing industry.
  • Strong / effective communication skills.
